Taro Okamoto’s was born in Kawasaki 1911, so the museum is in that city park. His most famous work must be Tower of the Sun, made for Expo 70 in Osaka 1970.
Unique, cute, sometimes serious his arts in & around the museum! You can take a photo with board sets of Taro or Tower of the Sun ;)

Design Festa is a big art event open to all artists.
It is one of the biggest art event in Asia.

Sake cup for exhibition of Yoshitomo Nara ;)
the exhibition was held in Aomori 2006, however this kawaii sake cup is sooo popular still now.
I will reuse when the cup become empty… simply for cup? or bud vase? or jam bottle? what is the best way do you think? ;)

Mika Ninagawa is a photographer most popular among Japanese girls. The photographs which she takes seems to be the picture that a girl nurses delusions.
She took a fashion photo and CD jacket from 90’s. A lot of models and musicians, an actress respect her, and there are many fans of women from the teens to 30 generations.
I am excited to watch the pink, red and the blue light and shade in her photograph.
The most used search engine service in Japan is of course, Google. But here in Japan, Yahoo! Japan has been ranked the top since late 90’s till now, and Google has always been the second.
However, since last year or so, Google has been fiercely catching up Yahoo! Japan. As a unique local strategy to win more market share, Google Japan is promoting itself using famous figures or artists.
This time of “Artist iGoogle” features architects, fashion designers or illustrators who provide the special editions of iGoogle headers or some gadgets. I guess someone like NIGO from A BATHING APE is known out side of Japan, too?
What is “ami-mation” ?
It is an “Amigurumi” animation video created by illustrator Yosuke Kihara.
“Amigurumi” is a knitted stuffed doll ( knitted is “ami” in Japanese). Using wools in various colors, thickness, patterns or gages, he can create his original amigurumis. It is amazing that a pretty doll is produced with a single string of wool.

Transforming an ordinary landscape or an indoor snap shot to unique drawings; the “print-paint” was inspired by such an idea.
The lines of “print-paint” are drawn by scratching the surface of an original photo. After coloring in the lines, done!

I looked in Shibuya Parco LOGOS gallary. The exhibition named “Piece of Peace - world heritage exhibit built with LEGO” is holding until 25th Feb. 2008.
You can see “Tower of Pisa”, “Shirakawago”, “Town Hall and Roland on the Marketplace of Bremen”, and “Tower of Effel”.
If you think you want to see more and it’s OK to pay for that, please go up to Parco Factory in 6th floor.
There are 26 world heritages built by LEGO.
Normally an umbrella is hexagon, isn’it? This is a folding umbrella of pentagon! By making it pentagonal shape, it uses lesser ribs thus successfully lighter and smaller.
Additionally because of the less-curved shape, it does not hide the vision as much, so you can see better.
The patterns of the fabric is nice and pretty, too!
