There are many Pilot Shops in Ginza where you can get each prefecture’s touring information and purchase its local specialities.
Today I bought plums, dried pear, and fruit juice at a Yamagata shop.
It’s fun looking for yummy and cutely designed things.
Going around antenna shops is a simple way to enjoy the taste of touring.

The second day, we had breakfast at Japanese restaurant, Kasuke in Hoshinoya where we were able to enjoy the scenery of terraced rice fields.

We really loved their breakfast in Japanese style.
We had rice and very tasty a lot of side dishes such as grilled fish of the season that was baked over charcoal and plenty of steamed vegetables that were grown in Nagano prefecture.

We had very relaxed time with the good breakfast in the bright natural sun light.

We had dinner at Bleston Court Yukawatan which was a French restaurant in Hoshinoya.

We are able to enjoy the local products of Karuizawa at the restaurant.
The chefs use the local products to make their original French with their sensibilities.

And, we had a lot of the local fresh vegetables and the gibier of Karuizawa such as canard and venison.
We really enjoyed the French with our both tongues and eyes.

At the end, we got surprised when their desserts were put on the table because they were just amazing, and we were impressed the gorgeous art works.

We’ve stayed at Hoshinoya Karuizawa Hotel.
They’ve made ‘their guest rooms along the river, with runs thought a small valley, conjure up images of villages of old’.

The modern guest room where we stayed was very cozy and comfortable.
Also, we were able to enjoy the view from the large window.
The beautiful views from morning till night gave us very peaceful time.
We had a very good time even though we were just watching the views.

My friend and I made a short trip to Karuizawa at Nagano prefecture.
And, we stayed at Hoshinoya Karuizawa Hotel.

However, it is very easy to get to Karuizawa by a bullet train. It takes about 1 hour from Tokyo to Karuizawa.
It was very cold compared to Tokyo.
Karuizawa is a very famous place for skiing in winter season.
Also, there is a lot of nature as well, with plants, birds, animals and hot springs!
Moreover, there is a large outlet store in front of Karuizawa station.
We are able to enjoy shopping also.

It is a very nice place to take a short vacation from Tokyo.

I stopped by a shop of ‘Hato Sable’ that is a very famous sable (cookies) shop in Kamakura before I left Kamakura in order to buy its folding umbrella.

The main store sells not only ‘Hato Sable’ that is the most popular pigeon shaped cookies in their shop but also their original items that are sold only at the main store in Kamakura.

I went there for just visiting, however, fortunately I was able to see the Shinto-style wedding. It looks very traditional Japanese style! We seemed to be transported back in time to the Edo era.
