Hu-lulu is a good ramen place in Ikebukuro, but it’s not as usual “manly” style in Japan – The shop has full of cute Hawaiian goods and Hawaiian music.

Their ramen soup is mainly from chicken stock, and also they have unique ramen set, with spam rice ball.

My friend and I went to Ginza Torigin where was a Japanese style restaurant for Yakitori and Kamameshi.

They provided us very good foods with reasonable prices. It seems to be always crowded with a lot of people.
They have an English menu that might help foreign tourists.

Egg Tart at Nata de Cristiano’s

natadecristianos_2

Nata de Cristiano’s is a specialty store for Portuguese sweets, pies and tarts.
They don’t have many menus – we can get there egg tart, chicken pie, Pão-de-ló (Portuguese half-baked sponge cake), cheese tart, and Portuguese quiche. (Also they’re selling some daily dishes and some bottle of wines)

I got an egg tart and ate it at their small table. The tart shell was crunchy and egg cream melted very smooth in my mouth.
I was charmed by this sweets instantly. I’ll be back here and get more, very soon.

If you’re thirsty, hungry, and would like to eat good rice, Torafuku is one of the best choice of izakaya in Aoyama.

Get into the downstairs, you’d see big straw rice-bags, and entering the izakaya, there’s huge 3 rice-cooker pots.

Of course other foods are good, too. We always love their special cabbage croquettes.

Tepito is a part of Mexico in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo.
Their foods and drinks are not TEXMEX. Their tacos are not made by taco shell, but handmade soft flour tortillas.

It our first experience to have juicy and little sour “salsa verde” on enchiladas, and we liked it.

TheRooftop_4

THE ROOFTOP is a small BBQ garden restaurant at Ikebukuro, it’s on Ikebukuro Lumine’s 8th floor.

TheRooftop_5

TheRooftop_6

This limited-time restaurant is managed by J.S. BURGERS CAFE, next to this BBQ place.
Because of that, we could try to make our own hamburger at there. I enjoyed pouring melted cheese on the burger.

TheRooftop_7

Actually, I was slightly disappointed when I know we MUST order “fixed” food course and bottomless drinks. But BBQ without carring anything was so much fun.
