And we can enjoy beautiful original arts. I especially love one of these – the scene of Care Bears pouring heart rain to Kiki and Lara.

KAIYODO FIGURE MUSEUM in Shinjuku Tokyu Hands

KAIYODO figures’ pop-up shop appears in Shinjuku Tokyu Hands.

Their products’ quality always makes me surprise. Huge (real-size) Danbo was so cute, and capsule toy “Iron man” and “Attack of Titan” were amazing.

I loved the display of creatures in the sea… they were also from capsule toy, “squid collection“.

Hello Sandwich Exhibition

I went to Hello Sandwich Exhibition at gallery commune in Shimokitazawa.
The gallery space was perfectly changed into Hello Sandwich world!
How could we resist to look around the exhibition without smiling?

She always cast a spell on our usual belongings… to turn into charming things!

Christmas Fika

I was invited for Christina’s Swedish traditional Christmas Fika.

Unfortunately because I can’t drink so I couldn’t try it, but the kitchen was filled with mellow Glögg (hot wine with spice, some dry fruits and almonds) scents.
Her handmade Pepparkakor (ginger cookies) and Lussebullar (saffron breads) were very good, and meeting with new friends were so much fun.
Hope you all 8tokyo readers have wonderful holidays!

a very short introduction of our friend Christina :)
She’s one of the founders of Swedish fashion/jewellery brand mori & mimosa, right now she’s living in Tokyo to studying Japanese, finding inspiration for her surface patterns, looking for design collaborations and trying out Tokyo’s cakes and cookies. You can check her mufflers from here.

The metal crasps are her original design.

She made it special for the event, I chose a tiny opal colored rhinestone and she attached it on the purse. It looks like a beautiful rain drop in her lovely drawing!
