I met adorable dolls at Hankyu department store in Yurakucho.
The dolls are made in London.
Each one is hand-made and individual.
Also, they all have their own stories to tell you.

Koala: I used to be a serious gambler.
Cat: I do enjoy singing sea shanries.
Rabbit?: I love to smell fresh coffee.

BobbyDazzler_3

It was extremely difficult to choose someone from a bunch of cuties.
I made a tough choice for 3 adorable dolls that I chose.

Klaus Haapaniemi Tenugui towel

Klaus-Haapaniemi_tenugui_2

Home and living shop SCOPE collaborated with Klaus Haapaniemi to make some their original Japan-traditional handicraft products.
I already got mini plates, and next, they made some tenugui towels.

Klaus-Haapaniemi_tenugui_1

I got red “rabbits” pattern. The beautiful tenugui towel makes me happy, but their naming of these tenugui – “tegunui” (means cute typo or something?) is VERY weird.

Almost of all lampwork beads were not for sale this time, so we could enjoy his work without “fighting” with other customers.

He lent us small magnifier to look into lampwork beads – 1 inch biosphere of glass. All of his work always takes my breath away and take me to tiny wonderlands.

Handmade Enamel Dino Brooch Workshop

dino_brooch_0

I joined a workshop at Hint7 in Shibuya Tokyu Hands to make a Dino brooch of enamel technique.

dino_brooch_1

dino_brooch_8

Two dinosaur shapes were ready, we could choose from Triceratops or Stegosaurus.
Both of me and my friend’s choices are the same – Triceratops.

We put colorful glass sands on the dino little by little, put some wires to make its faces, then design our own dino’s back and tail by small pieces of glasses.

Teacher of the workshop “Cremocarp” baked them and attached the brooch pins for us.
It was quite fun experience to make cute enamel brooches!

I stopped by “Shibu-san Acryl (渋産アクリル)” at 8/01/COURT mini exhibition space in Hikarie.
Shibu-san is a coined word from “Shibuya (渋谷)” and “san (産 – means like born or made in)”.
This project is a collaboration of Showa Womens University and acrylic craftsman who working in Shibuya.

POSCA glitter extrafine color pen set

posca_1

We got a set of POSCA glitter pens for Etsy Craft Party Tokyo.

posca_2

All of POSCA pens have very clear colors, and writable for many materials, like plastic, metal, mirror, and photo.
Participants of the party enjoyed writing, drawing and painting to their own Instax photos and some other craft supplies such as wood pieces, metal settings.
These pens’ glitters are not strong blinging, but sparkles prettily.
