The order system was running on self-service as usual, but the details of the interior of the cafe was neat and nice mixture of Japanese wood decoration and modern Western style.

The cafe is on the annex of Kuroda Memorial Hall, Kuroda Seiki often considered as the father of modern Western-style painting in Japan. It’s interesting both of theirs impressions are as the mix cultural of Japan and West.

souffle hotcake at Cafe Asan

cafeasan_1

Now you can have many varieties of pancakes/hotcakes everywhere in Tokyo.
Cafe Asan also is serving fluffy souffle hotcake.
We need to wait for serving these about 30 (small size) or 40 (regular size) minutes.

I had lemon custard cream hotcake and a friend of mine had berry hotcake.
Both of these were cute and good. The cafe has free-wifi and power outlets, so it’s easy to wait for a while for the cakes.
