Tiger & Bunny plastic model workshop at Mokei Factory

mokei factory_3

I had a chance of building my first scaled plastic model!
The model is “Wild Tiger”, from my favorite anime “Tiger & Bunny”.

I joined workshop for beginners at Mokei Factory.

The shop is unique, the place is in “Marui Annex (called fashion-building in Japan)”. Next to shirts, you can get plastic models, tools, books of hints for modeling, or cute zakka. Don’t forget the time if you find running tiny model trains and awesome dioramas into the  shop.
Of course you can build plastic models with professional modelers in attached glassed-in studio.

I thought I couldn’t do anything without the workshop. Actually I didn’t know how to separate plastic parts.
Also it was a good time speaking with other anime fans & modelers.

And Meister Sekita’s “buddy heroes” are stunning! I can’t believe the models are from same as mine.

I went to sunae artist Naoshi & her friends exhibition, named “Hito Hito Hito”.

hito_2

“hito” means people or human being, each artists created 12 “hito” from 12 themes.
From same theme, all of their works are quite different!

hito_3

I really enjoyed beautiful individualities of the art.

Tsukimi

tsukimi_1

Tsukimi (night of the full moon on August 15 and September 13 of the lunar calendar)is the days for “moon-gazing”. Decorations of Japanese pampas grass are used, and moon-offerings of sake and dango (a kind of dumpling)are made as the people gaze at the moon.

tsukimi_2

Sep 30th was supposed to be one of the days for “moon-viewing” but it was windy and raining outside because of the typhoon.
I still wanted to decorate dango”dumplings” and Japanese pampas grass to enjoy the autumn evening…

I had deep-fried Okinaman pork plate, and my friend had onion curry rice.
Both of these contains a lot of vegetables, taste very original and unique.
