Shingen mochi from Kikyouya
Shingen mochi is one of the most famous Japanese traditional sweets in Yamanashi prefecture which is very popular for souvenirs, named after a historical warlord Takeda Shingen.
There are three bite-size pieces of tender mochi (rice cake) with kinako (soy bean flour)
inside of the box wrapped in pretty furoshiki wrapper.
Tender mochi (rice cake) topped with kuro-mitsu (dark brown sugar syrup) which is in a tiny bottle when you eat it.
The symphony of mochi,kinako and kuro-mitsu is amazing.
Believe me the tastes just like heaven!
Whoopi GoldBURGER
There is a hamburger restaurant close to the post office in Shibuya called Whoopi GoldBURGER. The name is a twist on the name of the actor Whoopi Goldberg, it’s a very unique name for a restaurant, but the hamburgers are very tasty!
The basic hamburger is the “Whoopi GoldBURGER”, the double patty is called the “Sarah Jessica BURGER”, the triple patty is the “Charlotte GainsBURGER”, the chili flavor is the “Steven SoderBURGER” and mashed potatoes are called “Natalie POTATOman”. There was also a bacon burger called the “Kevin Bacon”.
I suggested to the owner that they should have one called the “Mark ZuckerBURGER”.

Fu-Wa “baked goods” from Meiji
These light crumbly baked goods “winter’s limited edition” with a lovely package are from Meiji which is a major confectionery firm in Japan.
A fluffy little penguin really fits the image of Fu-Wa. I enjoy the taste and texture.
Whipped white chocolate covered baked goods will melt in your mouth heavenly.

Angel Teddy Donuts from Mister Donut
These are cute Angel Teddy Donuts from Mister Donut. There are 3 kinds of the donuts “strawberry teddy, caramel teddy and chocolate teddy”.
Lovable whipped cream filled donuts are delicious, light and tasty.
They are great snacks for eveyone.

Farmar’s Market at UNU
I went to the weekend only farmers’ market in front of UNU in Aoyama, Tokyo.
There were lots of stalls with fresh vegetables and fruit, along with other goods such as jam, tea, cookies, muffins and sweets, it was great fun!
I bought sweet potatoes from Kagoshima and cupcakes from Bella’s Cupcakes.
