Kyoto international manga museum

This is the place I like the most in Kyoto! We renovated a closed school building for making this museum. Therefore, we use classrooms as manga exhibition rooms.

In this museum you can read manga freely as you want! Some read manga in a hallway. Others lie back and read manga on a tatami mat. You can also sit reading manga on the terrace or on the lawn.

This museum holds a workshop for drawing manga and painting anime figures. We also invite a manga celebrity for a talk show. Here is the place we can enjoy ourselves whenever we visit. I want to live in here if possible!

These are Kinokonoyama ALMOND CRUNCH & Takenokonosato MACADAMIA COOKIE Chocolate from Meiji. They are larger than regular Kinokonoyama & Takenokonosato Chocolate, and also fancier.

Everybody’s favorite mushroom and bamboo shoot shaped chocolate and biscuit snacks are crispy and great taste with a moderately chocolate aroma.

Advance tickets for The Twilight Saga: eclipse

These are the advance tickets for The Twilight Saga: eclipse in Japan. The film starts on Nov. 13 in Japan. Unbelievable! It sounds so far away…

The free gift of the advance ticket is two file folders. They are beautiful aren’t they? I’m looking forward to the graduation party that Alice throws,and more and more of course.

The charm is for Q-pot. hamburger, but I got it for my baby ghost.

I think ghost is for Halloween for US guys, in Japan, they bring us　the real feeling of summer.　Cheerful ghost pendant brings me smile!

Aoume”the Japanese green plum” Japanese confectionery from Akebono

Akebono is a famous Japanese-style confection store. These are Japanese sweets that are called Aoume”the Japanese green plum” from Akebono.

Aoume is honeyed Japanese green plum and sweet bean paste filling by gyuuhi (a mochi-like dough that is tender and easier to mold than mochi). The little sour Japanese green plum and sweet bean paste create the right taste and texture of this great seasonal sweets.

Mitarashi-matsuri

Mitarashi-matsuri, a festival that is held every summer at Shimogamo-shrine in Kyoto.

Only during the festival, people are allowed to step into the pond with deity water of the shrine. Soak feet in the beautiful and cool pond, light a candle, then have the water of the shrine.

This is a festival for people to remove their sins and impurities and to wish for their health and longevity.
