Home made TACO RICE
Taco rice is a very popular dish in Okinawa. It’s tacos with the tortilla replaced with rice. Pile spicy ground meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes on top of the rice and you’re done. Recently you can buy ready-made ground meat in a pouch for easy to make taco rice.
I tried making it myself. I didn’t have any cheese, so I tried putting a half-boiled egg on top. It was really good!

Ready-made ground meat is creeeeepy! Do they make packets that are just the spices? :) In the states, there is “Old El Paso” brand spice mix, kind of fakey Mexican feel ;) I think that is what my mom used to use to make tacos for us in Wisconsin.

Tacos are really yummy! Replace the tortilla with rice is different, but sound good too! :)

I made this today for a bento lunch – turned out pretty well, even using Old El Paso, haha.
