Udon part1 “tsurutontan” (udon restaurant)
Udon is a type of thick wheat-based noodle popular in Japanese cuisine. Udon is usually served hot as noodle soup in a mildly flavoured broth, served in kakejiru made of dashi, soy sauce, and mirin.
It is usually topped with thinly chopped scallions. Other common toppings include tempura, often prawn or kakiage (a type of mixed tempura fritter).
I had Kitsune udon which means “Fox udon”. Topped with Aburaage (sweetened deep-fried tofu pockets). Kitsune udon is one of my favorite food, and I love to choose topping as shirmp tempura.
